Ottawa, Canada - June 12, 2024 - One of Few Canadians in History to Ever Race in the Highest Class of the 24 Hours of Le Mans
We are thrilled to announce that our talented WEC series driver, 21-year-old Antonio Serravalle from Markham, Ontario, will be making his Le Mans debut with Isotta-Fraschini. Antonio is set to become the first Canadian to compete in the 24 Hours of Le Mans since the legendary Jacques Villeneuve in 2008, racing in the pinnacle of modern sportscar racing: the Hypercar class.
Antonio Serravalle has shown immense pace and tenacity through the three WEC races this year. Starting as a young kid from Toronto with a dream and a kart; Antonio has been able to forge a path full of victories and records throughout his climb to the top class of sportscar racing.
Antonio shared his excitement: "I'm very honored to be a part of history and race the 24 Hours of Le Mans at the highest level in the Isotta. I feel that every event is a challenge, having to learn tracks quickly and adapt to race conditions with some of the best drivers in the world against me is definitely a new experience."
The 24 Hours of Le Mans is the most storied race in the world, seeing legends of both past and present compete on the hallowed tarmac of Circuit de La Sarthe. Antonio Serravalle will join a select group of Canadians to make it to this significant milestone. 24 hours of constant on-track combat awaits the young Canadian, with a path through the melee illuminated by the fellow countrymen like Villeneuve, Hinchcliffe, and Stroll.
Such a demanding race requires a vast network of support. Serravalle's early success in Karting and Indy Lights caught the eye of multiple entities instrumental in facilitating Serravalle's historic climb to the top. International businessman and venture capitalist, Marc Wade, has been a longtime supporter of Antonio. Salt Wine is Wade's latest project, displayed proudly on the side of the Serravalle’s Isotta Fraschini Duqueine. Remstar Management, another Canadian based firm, acts in the background of the operation, ensuring Antonio stays in front of the pack and making the matches that keep the car running.
Antonio’s journey is a testament to what can be achieved through hard work, support, and a burning passion to follow in the footsteps of legends. His debut at Le Mans is not just another milestone; it’s a torchbearer for future generations of Canadian racers dreaming to touch the zenith of motorsport. With Remstar Management’s guidance and his own indomitable spirit, Antonio Serravalle is not just making history—he's creating a legacy.
